Terms and Financial Disclaimer

Last updated: October 6, 2026

This site, including the templates and calculator, is owned and operated by Scout Digital LLC ("we"). By using it, you agree to these terms.

Financial disclaimer

The templates, calculator, examples and articles on this site are for educational and informational purposes only. They are not accounting, audit, legal, investment or tax advice, and using them does not create a professional relationship with Scout Digital LLC or anyone associated with it

Financial reporting and tax rules depend on your organization's facts, your state and the requirements of your funders and lenders, and they change over time. Before you rely on any template or estimate for financial statements, filings, grant applications or tax decisions, have it reviewed by a qualified accountant, CPA or tax professional.

All example organizations and figures are fictional.

S corp calculator

The S corp reasonable salary calculator gives estimates based on the information you enter and on tax rates and limits that we update each year. It does not calculate income tax, state taxes or the costs of running payroll. The IRS does not publish a formula for reasonable compensation, and your actual obligations may differ. Consult a CPA or enrolled agent before setting your salary.

Use of the templates

Accuracy and no warranty

We work hard to keep the templates accurate and current, but they are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. You are responsible for checking the results before you use them.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scout Digital LLC is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, the templates or the calculator. If you purchased the Premium Kit, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Referral and affiliate links

Some pages may include referral or affiliate links to software or professional services. If you sign up through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These links are labeled where they appear, and we only recommend products and services we would recommend anyway.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
